Connecting with Studios & Freelancers

Connections are the foundation of PencilCase. They allow freelancers and studios to share calendars, book pencils and communicate directly.

📩 Sending a Connection Request as a Freelancer

Freelancers cannot search for studios on the network. This prevents spam and keeps inbound studio requests manageable.

However, freelancers can invite and onboard studios directly.

To connect or onboard a studio:

1. Go to Dashboard → Invite Studio.
2. Copy the link and send it to your point of contact.

If the studio is not already on PencilCase, they will be guided through signup and the connection will be created automatically.

📩 Making a Connection Request as a Studio

Studios can freely search the network and send connection requests to freelancers.

To connect with freelancers:

1. Go to Dashboard → Discover.
2. Use the search bar to find freelancers.
3. Send a connection request.

To onboard new freelancers:

1. Go to Dashboard → Invite Freelancer.
2. Enter their name and email.
3. They will receive a signup link with the connection pre-established.

Once a request is accepted, both sides can view shared availability, send pencils and start messages.

• Keep your profile up to date so requests feel genuine.
• Accept only trusted connections.
